Shortbread and Tea

Gypsy Slow Down

The best ending to a day in my opinion is to get a package in the mail.

And not just any brown box but a beautiful floral covered big square ensemble that made me sprint into the house to open it.

A gorgeous hummingbird tea cup and some tea treasures were inside.

Fabulous Lauren was my partner for the fun tea-cup exchange that Stephanie arranges and I loved reading her letter and how she bought the tea-cup while antiquing with her friend.

The hummingbird is so pretty and I have already had several cups of tea- the spiced cinnamon is to die for, rich and delicious. Witt already tore into the shortbread cookies which reminds me of my dad; growing up he never liked sweets except a select few, shortbread being one of them.

It really made my day since the power went out a day later, for THREE days, and I was wrapped up in blankets with the cats so thankful for our gas stove to make tea on.

It kept me toasty warm! And also completely distracted me from checking out Lauren's blog and then promptly losing her letter. Having re-found her I encourage you to check her beautiful blog out, I look forward to reading more.

The tea-cup exchange is so much fun. You can get involved here!
