A Walk In The Woods and Giveaway Winner!

Gypsy Slow Down

I'm happy to announce the winner of my Christmas Giveaway...

Katerina has been following my blog since the very beginning so when I pulled her name out of the hat it made me smile. She has an amazing blog with incredible delicious recipes from Greece. You must check out her blog.
I've contacted her to let her know she won some Christmas treasures which will be in the mail to her soon. Thank you to everyone who entered!

Last Sunday Witt and I took a picnic to a park nearby to enjoy the leaves and the wonderful weather which is getting crisper everyday.

Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening
By Robert Frost

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

  1. I love that you guys took the initiative to get out there and have a picnic! We're already well past picnic weather here (at least, so says the girl who gets cold easily)--but that looks beautiful. And I've always really enjoyed Robert Frost's poems. :)
