What It's Been

Gypsy Slow Down

Life around here has been projects.

Witt went fishing today with Adam.
Rose and I brought moonberries yogurt home after cleaning the office and she jumped in on a painting I was doing with one of her own while we watched Little Miss Sunshine and it was nice to relax and have some time to do more art. Precious time, when was it ever an abundant commodity? Life can suck you right in, huh.
Good things though.

I turned some of the recipes from my blog into a cookbook for my sister who is getting married in May. It was a lot of fun. I used blurb
I want to use it to make my blog into a few family books, starting with one about the Little Brick House when we leave here. I think that would be fun to have in the house to look back on.

Paint splattering brown bags for the fabulous Puerto Rico themed shower my aunt and the Wilder cousins threw my sister.

My grandfather is in the hospital. I took my Grandmother home after visiting him after the shower and as I bent down to kiss him on the forehead I thought of all the times he had kissed me on the cheek. He would hug you and give you a kiss, that was his way. And I just pray that he will do that again soon.

Mailing my carabox! And the invitations for Mary's lingerie shower.

Making Mary's toss away bouquet out of recycled vintage dictionary paper and my niece Ela's little flower girl bouquet. Woodburning signs for the wedding. Lots and lots of wedding stuff going on.

Not a project, but their favorite thing to do.

Also listening to this, on my new favorite pandora station.

I made Empanadas this weekend for the shower. That was really interesting, since I made gluten free dough and I followed the recipe to a T (egg and raisins?) so as not to mess up since I really had no idea what I was doing, and they were really good and I'll have to share the recipe here soon.

Hope you had a great weekend.
