We had a good New Year's Eve.
Homemade cosmo's with freshly squeezed orange and lime with cranberry and vodka in green swirly stemmed martini glasses.
Witt sipping a fruity drink at the house, Laura on our couch laughing about it.
Eating cheese and peppers and almond crackers.
Meeting Kristin and Jonathan and heading to Chapel Hill.
A delicious burger and a jack and diet at the Carolina Brewery.
The Irish pub and ringing in the New Year on the dance floor in a sparkly dress and black lacy heels.
Kissing my favorite at midnight.

So Goodbye 2012.
So many memories.
Loving the little brick house for the third year.
Discovering the Picaken, baking and cooking and our garden.
Teaching the Pre-marriage class, loving our church.
Loving going platinum, not getting positive votes for it.
Discovering the book that changed my life.
Time with family, our family always changing and growing.
Our hot mini vacation, still loving being together.
Making the most of where we are.
How it really has changed me.
Witt turning 30 and all the parties I planned this year.
This year was full and it was good.
There also were a lot of dreams that didn't work out, a lot of plans that got post-poned. A lot of heartache, the kind that sits on your heart and only gets better when you try to wash it out with a little gratitude. And gratitude was hard at times.

While 2012 felt like a lot of the same, 2013 looks full of change.
I'm so ready for that.
And what better way to ring in the new year than to have made it to 1000 on my gratitude list?
1000 gifts from God. Cheers to 1000 more.

Happy New Year!
