What a glorious yesterday, a January day of 70 degrees of sunshine! Can you believe it. Made me feel like I imagine Olive feels when she walks into the living room and suddenly flops down in the middle of the floor and starts purring. I have been so over the grey even though I normally love winter. At work I took the boys to the park and when we came home we sat outside on the deck. They played with homemade Galaxy dough, I read a little bit of an old favorite. After being cooped up inside trying to find things for them to do it was lovely to not have to worry. And to feel that warm sun on my face.
I think it's supposed to get cold again soon but I soaked it up while I could.

I found this galaxy dough on Pinterest. Our colors did not turn out half as pretty but I think it does look a little space-like and they had tons of fun with it.
I'm just gonna say that that collar worked wonders. Pepper has not cried all night the past two nights. And he came out all evening to be petted. I'm so happy. They are loving their new home and I love them.
Hope there is a little sunshine where you are!

That galaxy dough looks seriously fun...for grownups. ;) I'm glad Pepper is finally settling in!!! I'll have to remember that collar should we ever get another cat. Feel free to send some of that 70 degree weather this way!
ReplyDeleteGalaxy dough looks so neat! I think yours turned out great. And, I've officially decided that most people must leave out a secret ingredient for things on Pinterest because mine never turn out as perfect as the pin. Never! Those collars look amazing. Both our dogs are rescues and they have absolutely awful separation anxiety. I definitely want to try those out.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that collar helped. :)
ReplyDeleteThat galaxy dough is too cool.
ReplyDeleteYou are right it looks like a weird space rock or something! I am sure the kids had a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteWe had a day like that yesterday too, and I loved it! It's back to winter again today, but at least we had some sunshine this morning. I agree, sometimes the grey gets overwhelming.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm so glad Pepper's collar worked! You (and Witt) must be thrilled.
P.S. I love the Emily books too.
Galaxy dough...I'm going to have to check this out :)
ReplyDeletelovely. I love that play dough. might have to try it and hope my kids don't eat it:)
ReplyDeletei would've enjoyed the 70s weather but we had tornado watches. and now it's 30 outside. crazy!!
ReplyDeletefound and following via the hop ;)
So jealous of your 70 degree day. It is bitterly cold and snowy here. We've had a pretty mild winter so far so I should be grateful... but really I just can't wait until things start to warm back up again.
