The Girls Are Back In School

The girls are back at school. And I survived the summer! Nannying four kids, no matter how delightful it can be, has it's share of chaos. So I am cherishing our trips to the park just Bennett and I, walking around the craft store looking at the fall decorations, Barns and Nobles to play with the trains and the intense questions from his three year old mind, all not interrupted by lots of other little voices. I know that Bennett feels a little lost without all his sisters and aside from playing with his friends in the neighborhood, I'm trying to think up extra fun activities for him while he gets back in the groove of the school year.

Hence our latest Pinterest project! Bubble Bath Paint. It was so easy and fun and if you know a kid who likes to paint on walls or themselves (or if you might like to do that) this recipe is perfect. And, it doesn't stain tile or people which is important.

Here's what you need:

Clear liquid soap or body wash or bubble bath
Food coloring
Paint brushes -optional (fingers work good here too)

Squeeze the soap into small containers. Put a few drops of food coloring in the soap and stir. To avoid staining anything, just a few drops will do. Go to town in the bath tub.

Best part is when you get to dump the leftover paint into the tub and make...tons of bubbles!
