This week I learned how to make a snowflake, something I thought I knew how to do. But my sad little squares with holes are nothing compared to what they could have been!

My kids wanted to make paper snowflakes to decorate for their sleepover so I looked up some tips online.

Once you learn how to fold the paper, it's incredibly easy. There is something so satisfying in unfolding a paper triangle and seeing your intricate design. Plus, if you just freehand snip, you never know what it will look like when you open it up. I'm thinking it would be pretty to use some beautiful scrapbook paper and make snowflakes with patterns.

My children are already bored with my snowflakes but that hasn't stopped me from decking their house out and my house too. It's addicting, I promise.
