He is risen...

       He is risen indeed!

Last weekend my family went to Atlanta, GA to visit my sister Lauren and Jered and their new baby, Ela. It's a rare occasion that we are all together and nine people in one house for a few days can be interesting. It ended up being a wonderful weekend together.

Our first Easter...

I do miss all my ladies.

I especially miss Ela because I know that next time I see her she'll be applying lipstick and meeting boys. Maybe not quite, but she'll be older. I think Ela will miss Witt too, she very much likes him, especially his beard.

After church on Sunday we cooked up an Easter lunch with a yummy ham, baby carrots with sweet pecans, deviled eggs, green beans with pancetta cream and desserts. Considering all the food allergies in my family it's amazing everyone ate the same thing, but somehow we pulled it off. To start the meal we made a delicious sangria.

We went to Harry's, an organic grocery store, on Saturday and bought things for the meal on Sunday including lots of fresh fruit for the Sangria. I had never been to Harry's before and it was very fun; big and full of everything from fresh fish to soft drinks made with Stevia (that was exciting). It reminded me of the Bon Marche in Paris but without the prissy charm.

Fresh colors of spring.

Witt loves Ela too, somehow she always ended up in his arms.

Nan, taking it all in at lunch.

All together.

I’m thankful that He rose again.
