Baby, It's Cold Outside....Fire Up the Grill

Tonight I made a really good marinade for steak. Having forgotten to make the marinade about five minutes before I needed to walk out the door for work I threw in a baking dish a bunch of sauces and oils. This does not always turn out well (I will never attempt Sweet Potato Mole again...) but thankfully, it was really delicious.
I also made pureed cauliflower with parm cheese, a great alternative to mashed potatoes, and sweet potato fries per Witt's request. I also attempted collard greens and they were good, not as good as my Dad's true southern greens, but I used enough bacon grease to make them pretty darn authentic.

The Marinade:

1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/8 cup Worcestershire sauce
3 T sesame seed oil
1/8 cup olive oil
4 T spicy mustard
3 cloves garlic, mashed

I marinated the London broil in this for about four hours and then we grilled in the beautiful and unexpected snow. Here is a picture of the snow, just because it was so pretty.
