A Bittersweet Chocolate Day

Today was Thanksgiving with my other family, the Davises. I offered to bring something and my mother-in-law, Cathy, suggested this chocolate cake. I love to bake but cakes are not my usual dessert. However, when  it was done, the layers of dark chocolate cake, homemade caramel sauce and milk chocolate crunch looked pretty good. I guess its hard to mess up chocolate...

Gypsy Slow Down

Sweeter still was being with family. A tinge of sadness pervaded the day, we visited with both of Witt's grandfathers who are very sick and saw the changes over even a short period of time.
